Alan Blumenfeld is one of the hardest working veteran character actors in Hollywood. His lengthy and detailed Filmography on The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) spans his work for the past three decades.

As we all return to the new normal, Alan has been very fortunate to be working more than ever in film, TV and theater.

He has a recurring role on GOOD TROUBLE, Season 5, (HULU) appearing in half the season’s episodes. And, he is a part of HUNTERS 11 on Amazon. Having worked with Steve Carell on SPACE FORCE (Netflix) Alan is delighted to have worked with him again on THE PATIENT (HULU). He also had the joy of working with Linda Lavin on the film, ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY.

As a company member of Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga Canyon since 1985 and as a former resident artist at A Noise Within for the past 10 in Pasadena, Alan has a continuing presence in the Los Angeles theater scene.

For the 2023 season at Theatricum Botanicum, in Topanga, Alan is performing as Bottom in MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM.. Alan and his wife Katherine James had the great pleasure of performing together in a gender bent Romeo and Juliet…Alan as Nurse and Katherine as Capulet. They were both given awards for their work, as was the production.
